Absolutely amazing experience. They were so helpful with finding a time to book an appointment that worked for our schedule. The pilgrim massage was absolutely perfect for what we needed, they are clearly experts at knowing where Pilgrims are sore. Highly recommend if you need a massage!

We were walking the Camino and spent a rest day in Pontevedra. We decided at the last minute we wanted to find a place for a 'Pilgrim Massage' and Pontewellness Massage was the perfect place. We had an absolutely wonderful experience! Javier was kind enough to fit us into his busy schedule even though we reached out at the last minute. He only had 30 minutes available for each of us, but that short session made such a huge difference for our tired, sore bodies. His hands are truly incredible! He even followed up a couple of times to provide dinner recommendations and check on us the next day. Thank you so much, Javier — we really appreciate you!

The massage was incredible. I went for some muscle tension and left feeling like a new person. The professionalism and care she puts into each massage is truly remarkable. Besides relieving my tension, I left feeling incredibly relaxed. I will definitely return when I go back to Galicia. Highly recommended!

Superhuman hands! This was THE greatest massage of my life. I opted for the Pilgrim’s massage as I’m walking the Camino Português, and my body is exhausted. He knew exactly where and how I needed most attention, and was very considerate in asking if the pressure was just right and if I was OK. Professional, respectful, made me feel safe, and a stellar massage to boot— if I were sticking around Pontevedra I’d definitely be a regular of his!

From the moment I reached out about my appointment (I was gifted a session for Mother’s Day-EXCELLENT gift, by the way!!) Javier was very welcoming and accommodating. He truly cares about the experience he is giving to his clients and it shows. The massage was incredible. The service was exceptional, particularly with a visit to Hostal Perigrino despite the studio being fully booked. I highly recommend Javier, a true professional who worked miracles after a long day of walking.

Javier exceeded every expectation I had walking in as a one-time traveler. Most therapists in that situation give you a perfunctory Swedish massage and call it done — Javier did the complete opposite. He put in a level of focused, hands-on effort I’ve rarely experienced, working the muscles deeply and intentionally the entire session. The deep tissue work was genuinely exceptional. He maximized every minute, and I left feeling like I’d gotten more benefit from that single session than from many I’ve had at home with my regular therapist. If you’re lucky enough to get on his table, you’re in for something special.

Have Javier came to our hotel to massage me and my friend after for daily 10- 15 Km walk. He is accurate in his diagnosis and exert the right pressure at correct point to relieve my sore and aching muscles..
